Vermi Compost

A multipurpose soil conditioner which promotes a healthier root & plant growth, reduce soil acidity, stimulates slow, release of fertilizers & micro nutrients and improves soil moister retention.

What is Vermicomposting:

Vermicomposting, also known as vermiculture, is the process of using various species of worms, usually red wigglers, to decompose organic waste material into a nutrient-rich soil amendment called vermicompost. This type of composting is an eco-friendly and efficient way of recycling food waste and other organic materials into a valuable soil amendment that can be used to improve soil fertility and plant growth.

Where is Vermicompost Used For:

Vermicompost is used in agriculture, gardening, and horticulture as a soil amendment to improve soil structure, fertility and water-holding capacity. It is rich in nutrients, including nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, as well as other micronutrients and beneficial microorganisms. It can also be used as a natural fertilizer for plants, shrubs and trees, helping to increase yields, improve plant health and resistance to diseases. Additionally, vermicompost can also be used to improve soil structure in landscaping, flower beds, and turf grass areas.

NPK:

The NPK ratio (nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium) of vermicompost can vary depending on the source and composition of the organic material that was used in the composting process. On average, vermicompost has a NPK ratio of around 2:1:2, but it can range from 1:1:1 to 3:3:3.

Slow Release:

It is important to note that the NPK ratio of vermicompost is not as high as that of chemical fertilizers. However, vermicompost has the advantage of being a slow-release fertilizer, which means that the nutrients are released gradually over time, providing a steady supply of nutrition for plants. Additionally, vermicompost also contains a diverse range of micronutrients and beneficial microorganisms, which can further improve soil fertility and plant health.
